Media VET

This week in VET we were randomly selected and put into groups, we were then told to brainstorm some simple film ideas. When we had come up with an idea we had to draw up our story boards and decided on the different shots that were going to be used in our film. I learnt several different things this week, i now know where to find the zebra button on the camera and what it does, i was taught how to pan the camera and how to shoot a scene properly and that it was okay to show a main character running out from a shot as it made the film seem more realistic.

This week in Media we finished filming i learnt how to capture from our film and put it onto the computer, i also learnt how to edit and cut. I now know where to find special effects on final cut and how to add them to a scene i realised that when cutting a scene i needed to remember to also cut the audio as well as i forgot to do so. In class i also learnt about a different shot that i was not familiar with, we were told about depth of focus shots and how to get them on the camera we were shown what they looked like in so we were able to identify them in other films.
